Dubai, Apr 04: A United Arab Emirates (UAE) charity has offered assistance to a Tunisian institution for deaf people.

The Khalifa bin Zayed Charity Foundation has provided the Ben Gardane Deaf and Dumb Society in Tunisia with furniture and other equipment as part of an assistance programme to support special schools at the Tunisia-Libya border.

Abdul Hamid Al Tarabulsi, chairman of the Ben Gardane Deaf Society, said the organisation was in desperate need of such help, and thanked the UAE charity for its assistance and generosity.
