Mar 07: The Arab Games will be moved from November to December due to potential conflicts with football qualifiers for the 2014 World Cup and the 2012 London Olympics.

The multisport event for countries in the Arab world was scheduled to take place in Doha, Qatar from Nov. 11 to Nov. 25. Now, it will be held from Dec. 9 to Dec. 23, according to the Qatar Olympic Committee.

Around 8,000 athletes from as many as 22 Arab countries are expected to compete in 34 events during the Arab Games, including four events for disabled athletes.
