DANG, Feb 9: People with disabilities of Dang district have launched phase-wise agitation by forming a Disabled Struggle Committee saying disabled identity cards were distributed to non-disabled.

They staged a sit-in near BP Chowk in Tulsipur for two hours today as per the phase-wise agitation.

According to Coordinator of the Committee, Bachchu Ram Pariyar, they are in agitation putting forth various demands including investigation on disabled identity cards distributed in the district by the government, investigation on the irregularities in the Disabled Concerned Forum of the district, and action against the guilty, among others.

Pariyar further said they have been compelled to launch the agitation as they had already informed the Chief District Officer about their demands.

They also staged a sit-in for two hours in Ghorahi on Tuesday. There are 6,000 disabled in the district, according to the Forum.
