Baku, Fineko, Feb 22: The State Program of financing the measures for social protection of disabled persons and children with disabilities has been endorsed in Azerbaijan.

In accordance with the document the State Budget allocated AZN 15.827 million for implementation of the plan of actions aimed at social protection of  disabled people and children with disabilities.

AZN 14.1 million out of this amount will be directed for protection and health restoration of health of children with disabilities and disabled persons, AZN 1.315 million for measures to ensure that information related to the problem of disablement, organizing of activity on sports training and physical education, creative and free time.

In order to organize in mourning and public holidays marked officially in the country the conditions for the provision of material and technical support for disabled persons and children with disabilities it was allocated AZN 399,144 within the program to be directed for creation of conditions for the education of disabled persons and children with disabilities and solution of their social problems.

The program also envisages creation of conditions for the rehabilitation of disabled persons in foreign countries, their provision with transportation and technical rehabilitation means, maintenance in specialized boarding homes and rehabilitation centers, organization of their rest in sanatoria, the exchange of international experience in the area of their rehabilitation and integration of these people into society.
